okay alright, maybe a significant amount went to the stocks...very bad move cuz now the market is horrible due to some stupid crisis in the middle east, my money is now stuck. sigggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh. shouldnt have been so tempted. or maybe stupid people there should stop protesting or whatever i have no idea....

so anyway, tried tonkichi for the first time..
started with salmon sushi first. salmon sashimi=must order in every jap restaurant we go to.. so this was no regret AT ALL. the fish was awesomely fresh and chewy, not powdery..
and then more food came..the soft shell crab on one plate and a huge display of prawn+oyster tempura

it was nice from the start, then it started to become more unpleasant cuz the crumbed part was (although crunchy), very rough. made eating/chewing not a good thing cuz it could cut ur lips/tongue/gums/whatever moist and warm areas in the mouth. oh yeah, the huge mound of cabbage wasn't a useless mound of greens, it really helped cleanse the mouth of the oilyness/jelakness of the tempura.
oh and skip the agedashi tofu. the tempura was mad sticky, like mochi! or maybe cuz i have never ate agedashi tofu this sticky, but i don't like it. well my ramen was pretty good though. and definitely salmon sashimi/sushi is a must-order.
maybe i must try to make it a habit of taking pictures with my phone or bring my camera out everytime i go makan with the bf..and blog. maybe erm, entice ur taste buds a little? :)
